Ker on its own, without the sangri. The berries are picked young, cured in salt to take the bite off, then packed whole in mustard masala so they keep their snap.
Sharper and more bitter than most pickles — a Marwari taste that people either grew up with or spend a while learning. A small spoon per meal is the way.

How to eat it, how to keep it
Good with dal-roti, paratha, khichdi and curd rice. A spoon is plenty — this is not a sabzi.
Always use a dry spoon. Water in the jar is the one thing that will spoil a preservative-free achar. Keep the oil covering the pickle; if the top looks dry, tilt the jar so the oil runs back over.
Oil going cloudy or setting in winter is normal. So is the colour deepening over the year.
